Reels at Rossi Park

There is no better place to be on the third Friday of each month than at Rossi Waterfront Park, watching a FREE outdoor movie on an oversized screen with your friends and neighbors. Bring your family, blankets and lawn chairs; or park your boat on the Manatee River and watch it from there. You bring the snacks, we’ll bring the stars. Food and drink is also for sale.

The August film will be Dog Days of Summer on Thursday August 20. Rated PG, it is based on a novel by Lois Duncan. The story revolves around two orphaned teenagers who decide to turn an abandoned building into a safe haven for stray dogs. The film will begin at sunset.

Rossi Park is located in downtown Bradenton on Third Avenue West between Ninth Street West and U.S. 301. Parking is available at the park, on the first two floors of the Promenade Parking Garage, and downtown

Farmers Market

Every Saturday, from 9AM to 1PM, several blocks of Old Main Street (12th St. West), just south of the riverfront, are closed to traffic to accommodate the Downtown Bradenton Farmers’ Market. The market offers healthy choices of fresh local produce, organic food, plants, flowers, and green-themed goods.

Downtown parking is free on weekends, and dogs on leashes are welcome. The Bradenton Downtown Farmers’ Market supports local farmers, growers, and businesses. The market’s major sponsor is the Bradenton Downtown Development Authority, and coordinator is Realize Bradenton.

The Village of the Arts is a vibrant community of artists living and working together in Bradenton, Florida. With over thirty-five artists, the Village is Florida’s largest art community. ArtWalks fill the streets with art lovers looking for affordable fine art, jewelry, ceramics, designer wear and collectibles of all kinds. You'll also find an inviting bookstore, gourmet cafes and many special events. We have a new Village newsletter chock full of news and other info. Most galleries are open Fridays & Saturdays and many have extended hours during the week. Check listings for days/hours of individual galleries on our Artists and Galleries page. ArtWalks are the first Friday of each month, 6 - 9:30pm and first Saturday, 11am to 4pm.
Have you visited our new Village of the Arts welcome center at 926 12th Street West? Stop in; it's a great way to get familiar with all the galleries in the Village, what they carry and where they're located. There are maps, photos and brochures as well as art for sale.
